Hello again from the Blue, where we’re putting together a weekly list of Oxford events, from long-anticipated balls and club nights, to smaller, more low-key stuff as part of our What’s On features. This will be running every week of Michaelmas Term from Week 0 to Week 9, as a fairly comprehensive catalogue of goings-on around town, both within the University and outside. We’ve separated this into four categories so far – ARTS, for exhibitions and everything theatre, film, and drama; SOCIAL, for everything from open mic nights to pub quizzes to autumn fairs; CHARITY, for charitable and social action events; and ACADEMIC, for talks, seminars, lectures, and University-led activities.
Week 0 is looking like a busy one. Make sure to head over to the Freshers’ Fair in University Parks on Wednesday and Thursday to learn all about the available extra-curricular opportunities in Oxford. There’s also the Oxford Revue Social, the Reggaeton Party at the Bullingdon, and the Glitterball Launch Party towards the end of the week. And if you’re looking for something new, why not get involved in giving through the Oxford Hub Social Action Fair, hosted this weekend in Broad Street.
We’re also working on putting this all into a Google Calendar for you, so that you can directly take event information from there at your own convenience.
