Talk of the Week – Carbon Pricing, clean energy standards and zero emission subsidies on the path to net zero

We’re approaching week 3, which means term is well under way, and the busy Oxford schedule is shrinking our precious free-time. So this week, our top pick is Professor Ryan Kellogg talking about Carbon Pricing, clean energy standards and zero emission subsidies on the path to net zero over Zoom on Tuesday 10th May at 16:00 (zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/96291709275?pwd=V0c5U3pLQ1V5K0xYdUw0d0RoVlowZz09). With the private sector coming under increasing pressure to live up to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria, carbon pricing is one way in which companies are being incentivised to invest sustainably,

Professor Kellogg boasts an impressive CV. He worked for BP for four years before entering academia, and has since become Professor of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and completed over 15 journal publications and book chapters on global energy policies. As an expert on the intersection of industrial organisation, energy economics, and environmental policy, he has also written for mainstream news outlets including Forbes and the Denver Post.
