I’ve been writing for The Blue since my first term at University, so obtaining the position of Editor-in-Chief means a lot to me. We have some great ideas of how to take the paper forward, as well as continuing to provide high-quality content and writing experience for anyone who wishes to be published. I’m also very grateful for being able to work with such a talented Senior Leadership Team.

I’m incredibly excited to be one of the new Editors-in-Chief for Michaelmas 2022! When I started at The Blue as a Junior Lifestyle Editor back in Hilary, I had almost no experience in writing or editing. I didn’t picture myself going this far. But I came to love The Blue, not least for its values and its incredible team, and I’m bursting with ideas for its future. I can’t wait to share them with you all!

What makes The Blue so special for me is how open and accessible it is. No other student newspaper places as much emphasis on training, events, and mentoring and I think it shows in the quality of our content and the good experiences of our contributors. As Managing Director, I look forward to furthering our work as a training newspaper and putting out more excellent and engaging pieces in the process.
