This past term has been an unforgettable adventure of exponential growth.
We launched The Oxford Blue in January, presenting a new voice for the new decade. Now, we can proudly say that we have broken some of the most crucial news stories of the term, and been featured in The Telegraph, The Guardian, and more. Today we hosted our first journalism workshop with Alan Rusbridger, with big plans for more next term.
The majority of our HT20 team had no previous experience in student journalism — just enthusiasm and ideas. We have welcomed a spectrum of niches, from wine reviews to puzzle pages, illustrators to film columnists. All our applications are judged blind – we’ll be conducting interviews only for senior editorial and the news team to assess these specific skills.
