Back for a second year, following the success of Exhibition 001 (2022), Exhibition 002 promises to be an exciting celebration of local art and talent. Helmed by co-secretaries Nina Holguin and Danyal Akhtar, together with treasurer Abdul Muhaimin Tahseen, the committee of more than ten members includes Kes Berry and Eulalia d’Souza – the two Worcester students who started Exhibition 001.
Held from 1 May to 5 May 2023 at Worcester College, the exhibition will feature over 35 artists from all over Oxford. From paintings and sculptures to film and the written word, the exhibition seeks to showcase the abundant talent of the community.
But this is not all. The opening night party happening on Monday evening (6.30-10pm) is sure to be inspiring and magical: look forward to drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a range of canapés (with vegetarian and vegan options available), while treating your senses to the live music and poetry performances happening around Worcester College. Part one has just been released: get ready to be entranced by performances by David Ning, Adrienne Knight, Henry Coop, Charlee Wedderburn-Bolton and Rosa Arthur (20 min performances starting from 6.30pm).
Visitors are welcome to enjoy and experience the enthralling exhibition for free after opening night – the works of art will be displayed in Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre for the rest of the week.
Art, food and drinks – what more could you ask for?
