Outside of her degree, Mariya (she/ they) is a punk rock musician and non-fiction writer, focusing on the history of LGBTQ+ music. She is an LGBTQ+ Youth Ambassador at JLU UK. Mariya also collects 1970's vinyl records and makes her cat listen to them in her spare time.
