Somewhere hidden deep within
dark corners of my mind
the cobwebs of my consciousness
begin to intertwine.
The strands of deep analysis
of counting clockwork sheep
unsettle my most placid thoughts
and hold back blissful sleep–
They merge with understanding
breaking beyond the bonds of time
One thousand questions probing me:
I query what is mine.
And to one thousand questions
I still reply the same
for I’m omnipotent in dreams
a God without an aim
Still, like some slackened tangent
I watch her curve away…
forever falling in my dreams
as Night blurs into Day.
